WE CAN DENY SENATE APPROVAL TO ROBERTS JUST AS WE DID FOR BOLTON

Remember when the doubters and defeatists were all saying Bolton was a shoe-in. But we rallied and we spoke out and we denied him Senate confirmation. And we were so right. He has done nothing but create chaos at the U.N. since Bush's stubborn recess appointment, to the dismay of even our closest ally, Great Britain. And you spoke out again to demand the firing of the criminally negligent FEMA director, and he was forced to quickly resign. Now we face the greatest threat of all in the person of the stealth reactionary for Supreme Court chief justice, John Roberts. And once again we can WIN a victory some others would not have thought possible, if only you will speak out now.

Now more that ever you can make a real difference to save the integrity of the Supreme Court. Not only CAN Roberts be stopped, he MUST be stopped. John Roberts' proponents say that the president warned us he would put forward a judge in the mold of Scalia and Thomas. We all know their extreme biases. And yet in his hearing Roberts has repeatedly denied that he has any policy values of his own, just as he has denied that he was a member of the Federalist society (where he had a leadership role). Therefore, he is not only a reactionary ideologue, he is a LYING reactionary ideologue, a walking Trojan Horse of right wing policy initiatives. And that makes him all the worse.
