A Government of the people for the people by the people?
... or should I say a Government for the exxons by the mobiles of the Federal Reserves. As democrats we love it when our candidates and elected officials romance us with this idea of a government that isn't ran by major privatized corporations along with personal interest groups but has this ever even come close to happening in our lifetime? As democrats we know Republicans are unable to see that their own ideology would result in a replacement of an imperfect and at times corrupt government with an even worse privatized industry capable of far more evil than a Government that's SUPPOSE to be for the people of the people by the people but why does it feel like corporate and personal interest influence is just as strong under a democratic president as it does a republican president? Let's not forget our Government's original purpose was to be for the people by the people of people. A corporation is and always will be for the shareholders of the profit-margins by the CEOs and lets face it, no one born in the 1900s has ever experienced a United States Government NOT ran by big business. Unfortunately democratic politicians are more hypocritical and contradictory to an intellectually, morally, and constructively superior ideology while republicans are by far more loyal and respectful to a very backward, fear-induced, REgressive ideology. Do you think we will ever see a government of the people or will our government always be controlled by corporations?

1. Reccomended reading
Dear fellow liberal Christian: May I recommend the author Walter Wink and his trilogy on "The Powers". Or just read "The Powers that Be" or "Engaging the Powers". Welcome to the struggle.

3. The awareness of problems is limited to mainly this forum.
Do you realize how many people not only don't listen to news, they don't care. Republicans have money to buy their laws through lobbyist. We have to find a way to alert people to what they could have if they voted and make them care about it.
