Exclusive:Blue Dog Rep. Parker Griffith switches to GOP
Griffith plans to blast the Democratic health care bill as a prime reason for his decision to switch parties—and is expected to cite his medical background as his authority on the subject. He was one of only 11 House Democrats to vote against the stimulus. He added that if the Democratic leadership wouldn't commit to working in a more bipartisan manner, "perhaps we should look at altering that."

He said at a town hall in August that he would not vote for Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as Speaker of the House again because of her "divisive and polarizing" image.
GOP leadership is thrilled -- but not all Republicans are feeling the love. RedState founder Erick Erickson is already targeting Griffith:

That is a huge blow to Barack Obama. Griffith was an extremely endangered Democrat.

1. There are many "endangered" Democrats out there.....
some in the Senate.
They just put a D next to their names so they won't have to face a repuke primary...but they were always repuke, thru and thru.

4. I wish every single blue dog in the party would do the same.
I know that would mean losing our majorities, but I don't fucking care.

I want everyone where they belong. And blue dogs belong in the Republican party.

If this Rep can move to the Republican Party, then he wasn't really a Democrat in the first place.

A huge blow to Barack Obama? It is to laugh. Nice to meetcha, fer shure.
