Poll question: So which Fantastic Four character is the one to be killed off in January?
Four shall become...

The Fantastic Four will soon become the Fantastic Three in their next issue from Marvel Comics. Issue # 587 will be released shortly and one of the main characters will die. So, between Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing – will be killed off.

just thought this was interesting. they're saying it's permanent, like the death of Thunderbird in Uncanny Xmen #95, and not like the deaths of many characters who spring back to life from some other dimension or such... The book will be black bagged, and be sold direct only.

1. Don't think it'll be the Thing.

They've got him involved over in the Avengers books right now.

Highly doubt it'll be Reed Richards.

My money is on Sue or Johnny.

Final answer? Sue Storm.

Killing off Sue presents better story opportunities than Johnny.

3. Would it be cliche if she winds up in a refrigerator?

5. It would be strange IMO if they killed Sue
At this stage of the game, having dubiously rebranded her as one of the most powerful characters in The Marvel Universe, the only reason they'd kill her off would be either to bring her back from the dead even more powerful or to bring her back with her powers reduced and/or altered.

Besides which, haven't there been somewhere around 500 members of the Fantastic Four? Maybe they'll kill Medusa. Or She-Hulk.

Or maybe Willie Lumpkin.

2. There should be a companion poll taking predictions on how long they stay dead.
Probably 12-18 months. Which is about 10 days in comic book universe time.

6. How long after Sue is dead will Reed hook up with Alicia Masters?
Isn't it his turn by now?
