2. "Stupid people piss him off"
"The Cap doesn't hate America, what he hates is MURKA..."

I love Captain America.
I started reading The Cap off and on two/three years ago, when Michael Medved went on a rage about him. I thought anything that pisses Medved off must be good for me to read.

Captain America, Traitor?
The comic-book hero goes anti-American.

By Michael Medved

As if Defense Department officials didn’t face enough challenges in and around Iraq, they must now prepare for battle without a celebrated component of past victories. Captain America, the patriotic superhero whose comic-book exploits inspired the nation in World War II, now feels uncertain about the nation’s cause; in his latest adventures, The Sentinel of Liberty seems disillusioned, embittered, and surprisingly sympathetic to terrorists...

*end snip*

Medved is so full of crap!

Anyway, there was a link to this review
via the DU back in '03. At that time I wasn't a big fan of comics. However, anything that gets the right winged knickers in a twist is always worth checking out. I was glad I did!! Now I try to read as much as possible.
