How Many Sin-City comics were there?
I know that there was an original series, later retitled in graphic novel format, with I think 6 issues. Then there was I think a 5 issue one and a one shot. Is that it?

1. More than that, actually...

There was the first series (just "Sin City", 13 issues); after that came "A Dame To Kill For"(6 issues), "The Big Fat Kill" (5 issues), "That Yellow Bastard" (6 issues), "Hell and Back" (9 issues), plus about 4 or 5 one-shots.

The original Sin City story, "The Big Fat Kill", and "That Yellow Bastard" are the story arcs that the movie is based on.

2. So, you think the movie will be good?
On one hand, it looks freaking awesome. On the other, I got Dick Tracy flashbacks.

I'm hoping for the first one...

3. I'm hopeful.
What I've seen (the theatrical and TV trailers and the preview shown at the San Diego Comicon) looks pretty good. And considering that Frank Miller seems to be happy with it, I think it's at least not going to suck.

(Oh, if you've not seen the preview shown at the San Diego con, PM with email and I'll send.)
