Need some info
Can someone give me a quick summary of what the "silver Spider-man" suit is all about? I haven't really read comics in years, and a quick search of Wikipedia didn't do me much good.

Is Silver Spidey a different character? An alternate universe incarnation? A costume/symbiote thingie? Peter Parker in a differnt suit?

Thanks in advance!

1. I'm not familiar with a silver Spiderman suit
I've seen the black symbiote suit, the atrocious Scarlet Spider, and the recent reddish orange "Iron" Spider one, but I haven't seen a silver one.

Sorry.

2. Thanks all the same
Now that I think about it, the only thing that stirs in my dim memory is a (brief?) "spider armor" plot that had Spidey wearing some sort of faux-armor for some reason. I think it was a MacFarlane digression around the time that his Spider-man comic series got its start.

The reason I ask is that the construction toy Mega Bloks has a Marvel license and has released small sets with classic red & blue Spidey, Venom, Carnage, and Spidey in a silver costume, but no background information is given.

I'd be amazed if Mega Bloks reached back fifteen years for a one-shot product tie-in, but who knows?

Thanks for your input in any case!

:hi:

3. You know, now that I think about it
I've got a "Spiderman everything" book at home that I bought for my nephew. It covers most of the strorylines throughout that period.

I'll have a look tonight (If I can find the book!) and get back to you.

There's a picture of it here. I'll have to figure out how this scanner works and maybe I can post it.

This HAS to be the one you're thinking of.
