before we watched The Daily Show last night! I would have been fightin' mad about Samantha Bee's spoof on movie spoilers in which she completely gives away the ending!

1. That Was The Point

That's exactly what was already done by columnists, movie reviewers, and idiot radio personalities like Rush. They ALL gave away the ending so that they could rail about the Hollywood liberals (you know, like Clint Eastwood) who are trying to make baby-killing and elderly-killing and cripple-killing mandatory.

Almost everyone who pays attention to mass media (not a good idea, I admit) has already had the movie's ending spoiled for them. And if they hadn't had the ending spoiled BEFORE the Oscars, the fact that it won those awards made it a certainty that the same idiots who spoiled it before would spoil it again, and louder.

2. I saw the film a few weeks ago and had managed to miss the spoilers

I knew the right wing was up in arms about the film but didn't know why until I saw it.

I too was shocked that TDS gave away so much of the story. My boyfriend had just seen it that day or he would have REALLY been mad.

In fact, when I heard on DU that the movie winning the Oscar might upset RWer's, I asked about it and the poster took great pains NOT to spoil the ending, unless I wanted to learn more by PM. I had heard, in general, what happens but I didn't know who did what to whom and why.

..if I'm concerned about SPOILERS. Duh'oh.

No offense guys, but watching TDS shouldn't ruin your night, right?
