1. I watched it last night

What an asshat.What happened to Dennis Miller?His comments about drilling in alaska and Iraq were just sickening.And he never gave Jon a moment to disagree.Pig.

2. That did suck. I have several thoughts on this

Either:

1) Jon Stewart just thinks Dennis Miller is da bomb and was too busy enjoying himself.

2) Jon Stewart let Dennis Miller be a performing monkey for laughs.

3) Jon Stewart is scoring points so he can go on Dennis Miller's show and tell him off.

4) Jon Stewart wimped-out.

And while I hate Dennis Miller with a passion, you have to hand him this: Dennis Miller is in favor of gay marriage.

Miller considers himself a "Libertarian" which used to mean the party of "Liberty." Now "Libertarian" has become a Neo-con sub-cult defined more by laissez-faire economics than by civil liberties.

3. Miller stank of desperation

last night. Really sweaty and cloying. Another Charles/Camelia "she's so ugly" joke? What is that? Tired. And his "people think I'm a wingnut" lament. Well, Dennis. When have you taken on the Bushies? No, he got all wet flying around on Airforce One with George. Now, he's just another guy who wants to stay in the spotlight, however he can. He'll say whatever. Do whatever. If Cynthia McKinney is the next president, Miller will suddenly go through yet another sea change. He's a whore. Going to the highest bidder. And he's greasier than ever.

4. Dennis Miller is in the Throes of Desperation

His show is for shit, and that's saying something for fucking CNBC. He has to pay people to come see his show and laugh at his jokes. He is making his last wheezy, gasping breaths before he fades forever into himself becoming the very sort of obscure pop culture reference that he made his schtick.

I think Jon feels bad for Dennis Miller, a guy who used to be smart and funny.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one out there who used to really LIKE Dennis Miller and who now thinks that he's a complete idiot.
