Is Jon changing
I hope not but after watching last night, I am wondering if he is losing his edge that we have come to love... am I wrong? Was it just an off night?/

any insights appreciated.

1. He seemed rather subdued this week. Maybe Jennings death affected
him? Really funny moment of Zen on Monday w/PJ. But there were flashes....."why did God bury OUR oil under all that sand? Does he hate us?". The jab at DipShit for "looking so good after 4 years in office.....I wanna be President so I can get some rest".

Andre Benjamin wasn't the most exciting guest, either.

3. I really just started watching this year but he seems to be dissing the
left more often these days. I didn't like the playing up of the "strongman dictator" image that TDS did on Chavez... I am still skeptical of Chavez' intentions (as I am of any politician) but I believe it was an overt appeal to the fear-mentality of Americans rather than an effort to educate viewers on the history of the US-Chavez relationship.

Sometimes I think JS is the weak link on the show...his bits are stale. You know, "Oh....(name here)...master of blah but so blah blah blah..." or the voice he does when straightening his necktie, the eyes rolling...

I still think JS and TDS are great and very funny at times, but lately it seems to have lost its edge a bit.

4. trying to look more balanced or perhaps sarcastic
Trying to dish out insults for both sides even though we know the right gets lampooned the best.

I was a little put off by some of his shows with heavy left-wing bashing but some of his episodes are great. Did you see today's (the 16th) episode! Hillarious and was literally all right-wing bashing.
