German speakers, out there? Help?

I am moving back to Deutschland with my hubby in the summer, he leaves in April (commuting for awhile) and I hope to follow in early summer. We lived in Muenchen in 2001, but I bailed after a year, because of personal reasons (9-11 & family) So this is my big chance to do it right this time. His compnay is paying for an immersion course when I get there -- but I am going to try to take a course at a community college this winter term. (I had 2 years in high school and college a LONG time ago).

SO... if there is anyone who wants to write German and converse on here or by IM, I'd love to practice.

My husband and I are also having 'auf Deutsch evenings' which will help. -48%

6. Ich habe auch in Deutschland gewohnt.

Am Anfang letzten Jahres habe ich eigentlich in der Nähe von München gewohnt (in Prien am Chiemsee, wo König Ludwigs Schloß Herrenchiemsee sich befindet). Seitdem ich im letzten Juni zurück nach Amerika gefahren bin, habe ich fast überhaupt kein Deutsch benutzt, aber ich versuche oft, meinen Deutschen und Deutschsprächigen Freunden zu schreiben. Diesen Sommer werde ich bei der UVa Deutschprogramm mithelfen, also wäre es gut, so viel Deutsch wie möglich zu benutzen, weil sonst ich die Studenten schlechtes Deutsch unterrichten werde!

Meine Schwäche ist das Wortschatz--es ist ziemlich beschränkt worden, denn ich habe seit langem so wenig Deutsch benutzt, aber meine Stärke ist immer die Grammatik gewesen, also wenn du Grammatik-Fragen hast, wäre es mir ziemlich einfach solche Fragen zu beantworten.

7. Wie geht's mit dem Sommerprogram?

Ich brauche auch Deutschuebung.

Nach einigen Jahren als Deutschlehrerin habe ich viele Hilfen fuer die Grammatik.

although in reading some of your replies here, I see how far behind I am. I had two years in both High School and in college, but I have forgotten a lot. Then after high school, I traveled to Europe twice and spent a couple of months each time. I made the mistake of taking Spanish and German at the same time.
