4. Deutsche Wella

One of the German news services has a lot of German-learning materials, some created in partnership with the Goethe Institute. In addition to the actual course materials, there is "slowly-spoken news" that includes a transcript and news with vocabulary listed.

5. Anyone know anything about the Goethe-Institut's online courses?

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but I have been thinking about trying one. Taking an in-person course is almost impossible because of my work schedule and the lack of a local community college or public university program (and the private schools are focused on full-time day students). Local programs are fairly expensive or with groups I'm not familiar with or can't find any information about. GI has a great reputation, but no local classes, so I'd have to do the distance program, which includes elements like a speech recognition program to help with pronounciation and tutors who grade your work. So, I was wondering if anyone here had experience with them, especially the DE program.
