Need advise on attaching the headliner to the front pillars of my 2009 Chrysler 300. |

My dealer recently replaced the warped and sagging headliner. There is now a gap of 1/16" - 1/8" between the headliner and pillar tops. The dealer tells me that that is as tight as fit as is possible on a headliner replacement. It looks like hell and the gap widens when the car is in motion. Anyone aware of an adhesive or other remedy that would solve the problem?
Many thanks,
Ohio

1. Personally, I wouldn't accept that dealer's response. |

I'd take it back. If they insist that it's the best that can be done, I'd take it to a custom interior shop for an estimate and tell the dealer that either they take another crack at it or they can pay the pros.
Good luck.

2. You are absolutely right flvegan. Unfortunately, every time I take the car in for a problem, they |

screw something else up: in for headliner repair....more damage to it when I pick it up than when I dropped it off, in for navigation system update...they can't get the unit to eject my $200.00 disc (I spend a month arguing with Chrysler and NAVTEQ about who is responsible for replacing the disc and/or system), in to replace the now damaged beyond repair headliner....the new one is not properly positioned on the pillars.
Additionally the dealer is the only one left in Vegas and is a 40 mile round trip from my home.
Figured it is easier and less hassle to try to fix the problem myself.

In this case, I'd take it to a pro and pay the $250 to get it done right. I'd file suit against the dealer just for my own satisfaction.
And that Sat-Nav problem? That would give me cause to go postal on top of the headliner thing.
