Jaguar is bringing a top-shelf version of the XKR--aptly named the Special Edition--to the Geneva auto show in March.
The Special Edition combines Jaguar's optional Speed and Black packs, pushing top speed to an electronically limited 174 mph and outfitting the coupe with sinister styling features. It will be available as a 2011 model.
Power comes from a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that makes 510 hp. The Speed Pack adds an aero splitter and large rear spoiler, helping this sports car to hit 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
The new Black Pack adds gloss-black 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss-black finish to the grille and side vents, red calipers and a body-colored aero kit. There's also an optional XKR body graphic for the lower sills.
The packs also are available separately.
