My favorite Ford
I admit that I primarily love old cars and don't have much use for modern cars, which all look like plastic electric shavers to me. So please forgive this post if you don't care for old cars of yesteryear. I've owned several old Fords in my lifetime, including three old '60's era Mustangs one of which was a convertible. The old Thunderbirds were incredibly elegant and tasteful designs. The '69 Mustang Mach I had a terrific look. I even liked the GT40, one of the most incredible-looking race cars ever built. But to me the most elegant Ford of all was a small sports car with a body designed by French carmaker Facel and sold by Ford's European subsidiaries called the Ford Comete. This small but luxurious little sports car built in the 1950s had a Ford V8 engine and could really move. I think it's just beautiful and, to me, is the most beautiful car to ever have carried the Ford label.

1. Nice.
That's interesting, and very elegant looking, but sport at the same time. I had never heard of that one.

2. An all Ford Motors drivetrain would make this an easy car to work on
and for which to get engine and transmission parts. Unfortunately, Ford never sold the car in America but only through its European subsidiaries. You find them occasionally for sale on Ebay. I saw one in perfect restored condition for sale, going for just under $50K. They're expensive.
