Any sites that rate mechanics?

My car needs work on the air conditioner. Probably a leaking condenser, but since I'm basically clueless about these things, I'm just hoping to take it somewhere and not get ripped off.

Anyone know of sites that rate mechanics or shops?

There are a ton of shops in Detroit's west side & suburbs, but is there a way I can choose wisely?

3. What kind of car? leaking condensor is not usual

bad seal in the compressor, cracked compresor from age, evaporator goes bad or cracks. Line leaks, those are gems. Only a dye test will find the leak.
