Beginning to Like Jaguars
Since I first saw the Jaguar I have never liked the models I have seen. I never liked the exterior design of the cars. This year I began seeing a model that I thought was new. I recently learned that the model was not new in that it had been around since 1997, but was remodeled for the 2007 and 2008 year. I really liked that model. I went to the Jaguar website yesterday to look at the model and found another model that will come out about next year. The first model I saw was the XK model. The model that I saw last night was the XF. As a result of these two models I am really beginning to like Jaguars. The links to the bottom are pictures of the cars. So what do other think?

1. Jaguar has become the earlobe of the Ford Motor Company
Mundane cars that lost their sex appeal long since the original XJR.

2. I used to own a Mark II, 3.8 litre
I bought it used in about 1972 for $1,800. After replacing the clutch, the car ran very well and it was cosmetically perfect, complete with the shiny wire wheels. It was a four-speed with overdrive and the overdrive actually worked on it (quite well, in fact). I drove it for about 8 years as my daily driver in Southern California and I never had any problems except when it rained, when the electrical connections would act up. But then I took very good care of it. It was small, nimble, very fast, and fun to drive. I wish I hadn't sold it. Today it would be worth in the area of $50,000 to $60,000. I don't much care for the newer Jags, but then I don't like modern cars.

3. My boss owns an XK8
Loves the damn thing to death. Can't say it's my kind of car, but I do enjoy the odd ride in it.
