My husband went into get a tire patched and some guy was having one installed. Hubby didn't have time to hang around and find out more about them so he called me and asked me to do a little research and catch up with him later. I have no clue where to begin. Is there really such a thing?

1. The sites that discuss battery only EV conversion kits presented this |

They advise that it is a very ambitious project to design and build a hybrid. I would doubt that I could engineer anything that could be as efficient as a real product.
I have seen it proposed where battery EV owners will build a trailer with a modest gasoline engine plus generator. The EV owners would use the trailer for trips that are longer than their battery's range. What they are building is essentially a series hybrid, or the same concept as the Chevy Volt--Or a locomotive or a diesel submarine for that matter.
