Who's switched to the newest Blogger version?
I know this was posted in another thread but that was for the beta version.

Has anyone switched to the newest version and what are some of the benefits?
I mainly use Safari, but sometimes I switch to Firefox, however, I don't like how Firefox uploads pics. I like how Safari handles the upload of pics just fine. The biggest drawback for using Safari is that there is no way to alter the date and times (if you ever need to accomplish this use Firefox, it has a feature for this function). Other than that there really isn't much else that Safari can't handle.

Anyway I was considering upgrading but didn't want to screw anything up if it isn't that advanced.

Will check back for responses....

1. I'm using the new version
It does have its advantages. It's much quicker at posting and for saving changes to the template. A bit more responsive as well.

However, they did leave out some stuff that is definitely needed. Perhaps an easier way to post images, since whenever I upload one, it goes right to the top of the posting window, rather than in the spot I want it to. An improved comment feature would be nice. And a way to save sitemaps. And while we're at it, Google could do a better job of searching blogs. Often my articles won't show up when I search particular keywords, or will disappear an hour or two later. Meanwhile, some obscure blog with five readers or somebody's Myspace blog will show up. Also there are some serious keyword violators, such as the spam blogs that are always up front and center. While doing basic web searches, on the other hand, my site shows up well. What's up with that?

Blogger also seems to be down or running slowly quite a bit. Since it's owned by Google, this is unacceptable.

2. Thanks for the input,
I wasn't sure if it would be worth the trouble, and if there was any advantages to upgrading. I guess I could take the plunge and hopefully it will be better than the version I'm running.
I might upgrade later this week.

Thanks again for your response, it was really helpfully.:hi:
