What do YOU do on 11/22?
I refuse to call it 'thanksgiving' because I am not thankful of the events that were triggered after the invasion of Plymouth Rock. I am not going to ramble on and on, but I was just kinda curious as to what you were going to do on that day.

2. We had our annual "Orphans Thanksgiving"
We invite people who can't or don't want to go home to their real families. We give thanks for our friends and our friendships. This past year we had it a friend's house out in the country. I made a turkey and a ham, evlbstrd brought some of his homebrew and others pitched in what they could. Most people brought their favorite childhood/family food. We all spent about 14 hours together hanging out, getting to know each other and talking politics. A couple of people brought instruments and there was some music.

During the dinner we talked about the massacre at Plymouth. We acknowledge but we prefer to celebrate the spirit of the day, not it's origin.

Now, the 4th of July is a holiday I don't celebrate.

3. I'm A Teacher In A Rural Wisconsin School,
I am not Native American, but approximately 50% our student population is.
I don't teach Thanksgiving. Wouldn't know where to start. I do model thankfulness
for my students, but that's about it.
