The "East Area Rapist" IS the "Original Nightstalker"

Anyone just see the Cold Case Files ep. about this prolific serial killer? I also remember Unsolved Mysteries covering this case years ago. He still has not been apprehended.

This is not Richard Ramirez, the Nightstalker. This is the serial murderer/serial rapist whose MO included putting cups and saucers from victims' kitchens on the back of the male victim while the perp raped the woman partner. He would tell the man that, if he heard the movement of the dishes, he would kill them (which he does anyway).

One couple was able to get away from this man.

He also had the nerve to appear at a public-safety meeting the public had with the cops and then rape the wife of and attack a man who stood up and spoke publicly about the crimes!

I was hoping that this creep was caught, but he has not yet been. As of today, the state is running inmates' DNA through databases to see if he is currently incarcerated.

Oh, god. He raped the woman a few houses down from me. I went away to college & you've never seen a freshman more eager to go. BTW, none of the husbands was killed (at least when he was the east area rapist) Then he turns into the night stalker, but the connection wasn't made until just a few years ago. I was visiting my sister & BIL & there is was in the papers. I guess as the nightstalker he just moved with me. Still creeps me out.

This was linked here when this group first started. Someone had a link to a pretty cheesy photo of a guy in a ski mask. There was a recording (he sometimes called the victims) saying "I'm gonna kill you" over & over. DH was going out of town & I laid awake half the night in an absolute panic-the wind picked up & the french doors were creaking & it sounded like someone coming up the stairs.

Okay, DH is home tonight so I should be okay. :)
