I have always felt that the Ramseys did not do this, however.

So many details of the crime were written about over the years. What "inside" information could this guy have?

was first picked up in Thailand, he insisted he had nothing to do with JonBenet's death - and as johnnie posted on another thread, Karr's ex-wife said he was with her on Christmas 1996, when JonBenet was murdered in Colorado.

Now Karr says he did it, but that it was an accident.

My thoughts?

It's a false confession.

Until I learn there is rock-hard solid evidence, physical and otherwise, indicating that Karr killed JonBenet, I will continue to believe that by "confessing," Karr, a pedophile, is convinced he'd be railroaded at trial and is opting to cop some kind of plea, or else he is furthering his fantasy about having had a real-life connection to JonBenet - the fantasy that got him into this mess to begin with, by his communicating with that documentary-making Ramsey spin meister, Michael Tracey, of all people.

"I was with her when she died," Karr is quoted as saying. Also, "I loved her" and "It was an accident," or words to that effect. Karr apparently became obsessed with JonBenet early on, and is still obsessed with her. In his fantasy, he alone has the distinction of having been with the now-exalted JonBenet Ramsey during the final moments of her life, and of being with her when she died. Whether or not he's ultimately convicted of killing her, Karr's name will always be associated with the world's most famous child beauty queen. A pedophile's dream.
