about the murder of casino heir Ted Binion by his girlfriend and HER boyfriend. The goal was to collect on his will and to also steal millions that Binion had secreted in his house and buried on his ranch. When the case was breaking, I remember thinking, "Hell, it sounds like they worked harder for that money than Binion ever did" After reading the book, I still stand by my original assessment :) I did find it amusing though, the convolutions that his friends and associates went through in order to try to convince the world that the loss of Binion was a significant loss to the world. Amusing and pathetic. In reality, Binion was just an arrogant, spoiled, self indulgent junkie. I'm not saying that he deserved to be murdered, but his death was no great loss. Extra bonus: physically he looked like a cross between * and Rove. No shit.
