There's a new(ish) website devoted to the Original Night Stalker
http://jjmcgr.googlepages.com/home

It's pretty exhaustive but what's interesting to me is the master timeline. The author includes the dates of all the East Area rapes in the Sacramento area (chilling in their frequency), but also throws in some other crimes from Visalia that I haven't seen mentioned before in connection with the EAR/ONS. Also on the site: the theory that there were two East Area rapists (I doubt that).

The author also mentions the Bedroom Basher case, which was featured on Cold Case Files.

A&E just reran the CCF about him the other night. My fiance hadn't seen it and he was totally creeped out.

1. Where is he?
Since I lived through it I wanna know where the hell is he? He didn't just quit. These types of criminals don't just decide one day, 'hey, maybe this isn't a good idea. I'll just stop'.

I can't click. When this forum started someone gave the link to that (pretty cheesey) photo with the voice over. I forgot that DH was going to be gone when I listened to it. I swear, I was awake all night & reliving the whole thing.

2. I hope he's dead.
Maybe in prison, but hopefully dead, because I agree, guys like that don't just stop killing. I couldn't find the recording on this site, though it may be there, I don't know (he does link to the other site with the recording on it... :scared:). That CCF just scares the hell out of me, and I can't imagine having lived through the whole thing. I first watched that CCF by myself and don't think I slept much that night either.

3. It was when this forum first started. I could probably search & will,
but make sure you're not alone when you listen to it. Someone gave a link. There's this picture of a guy in a ski mask (which he wore) & a tape recording of him saying over & over "I'm gonna kill you." He called some of the rape victims (actually quite a few) & would tell them that. Very, very few people had message machines at that time, but one woman did & recorded it & gave it to the cops.

Eeek. I've freaked myself out & am probably going to root through the liquor cabinet for a shot of cognac.

4. Yeah, it's on the ear-ons site, which this guy links to
I don't know if this new site has the audio, though he is very exhaustive in other areas.

(And I'm off to turn on the burglar alarm...)

5. Back then very few upper-middle class homes had burglar
alarms. And if you did, the alarm was the kind that you set when you left, not that you set when you were at home.

Oh, I can't tell more without really giving TMI about me & my family. Suffice it to say, you have never seen an 18 year old more eager to leave for college. And I still can't tell more. Sheesh.

:hi:

6. Cool! Gotta check it out
I posted a link to his phone call here way back when we first got this forum. It was pretty creepy.

Thanks FY!

8. Yeah, I could never bring myself to listen to that.
I tried to get Neil to listen to it with me, but I believe his words were, "I don't think that's such a good idea." :scared:

I just heard that little snippet they played on the CCF on him.

7. I saw that CCF the other evening.
This is the guy who, after one guy at a public meeting the police had in order to reassure the populace that they were working on this case diligently, broke into the same house as the guy who said he could not believe someone could rape his wife with the husband in the house!

That took some balls.

I find this perp even more frightening that Richard Ramirez.

9. I know - that may be the scariest aspect of the whole thing.
Totally. Freaking. Creepy. :scared:
