SIXTY years ago today on a patch of wasteland in the shadow of the Hollywood hills, a crime was discovered that continues to haunt Los Angeles.

It was not the fact that Elizabeth Short was young and beautiful which made her death so tragic.

Instead, it was the manner of her killing and the way the horrifically-mutilated body of the woman - dubbed "the Black Dahlia" - was left, almost on display, which stunned the City of Angels...

1. Still is a fascinating case
I think it is because of the way her body was cut up and all is what makes it such a interesting case.
