1. Weird...
I *just* watched Paradise Lost for the first time. I watched it Friday night. I knew about the case and the film, but never got around to watching it. I got it from Netflix and I just put part 2 on my list.

There is no doubt there is a miscarriage of justice there, but I think the boys didn't help themselves too much during the trial. It was almost as if Echols was worried more about looking "cool" than anything else.

The stepfather of the one little boy (the one who gave the knife to HBO) was a little out there and I hear there is a lot of evidence pointing toward his guilt in the murders.

2. oh yes, John Mark Byers, wait until you get part 2, personally i think
he had something to do with but then again this whole case has been handled so poorly.

5. Just finished
It was pretty interesting to say the least. Those three guys shouldn't be in prison. The teeth marks need to be examined more, and I couldn't believe the judge threw it out. I think that Mellisa Byers was the one who did that, and John took the other two kids and killed them to make it look like a ritualistic killing.

I am curious as to where this case stands now. They say they are making a part three, so that might shed more light on it all. There doesn't seem to be much going on according to the website.

What have you read that made you think different of Byers?
