the alleged perp in this story is a friend of my daughters. the media reports are definitely playing down the fact that the vic was a hard core crack head, and had spent the money that was intended to pay him on crack. he has a tough row to hoe, tho, to prove that he could not escape from a disabled man. his side of the story is that he tried to escape, but the guy fought back, and stuck him with a knife. honestly, i dunno. but i will say that i would not want to be between the chicago cops and a notch on their belts.
