Interesting case of missing 9-year old girl

This is happening in my county. I feel terrible for the girl's family -- can't imagine how this feels. However, the sleuth in me is trying to figure out where he might have dumped this girl's body, if he killed her. I know that sounds gruesome -- but I can't help wondering.

How far could a guy go in 5 and a half hours? This area is full of hills and rocky terrain, but we also have lakes and rivers in the vicinity. He could have gone to Arkansas or Oklahoma or even Kansas within that time.
