Any of yall's loved ones ever say that they think interest in true crime

My deceased mother thought that, and now a sister does. Aargh!

Now thinking back, no, but Ann Rule addressed this issue once about how most tc fans are the nicest folks who are just interested in the workings of killers' minds, and their motivations, and their interest is nothing morbid or abnormal.

Reading tc books is probably better than watching a lot of regular reality shows, at least we learn things.

I want to understand how their minds work. Of course, some true crime writers are better than others. The ones like Anne Rule, who talk about the background and motivation, who have some empathy with the victims, are better than the ones who simply emphasize the lurid nature of the crimes.

so yeah, I'm used to it. I always tell him that I was interested in criminals long before he was :-).
