Kristy Cornwell's remains found in GA

"Cornwell's identity was confirmed by the agency's forensic pathologist through dental records, GBI spokesman John Bankhead said Monday. She was last seen walking along Jones Creek Road near her home in Blairsville, roughly nine miles from where her remains were recovered.

The identity of her killer is still a mystery, though investigators have not ruled out James Scott Carringer as a possible suspect. Carringer, 42, shot and killed himself after a three-hour standoff with Atlanta police last April..."

I just saw this case the other night on the Discovery ID program, "Disappeared". Very sad, her mom said she was still holding out hope that Kristy is alive.

1. So sad.....to hold out hope that she was somehow

kidnapped and held hostage, but I guess it is human nature to hold on to any shred of possibility that could happen. Hopefully, there will be a positive I.D. on who did this soon and her mother will at least have some peace in that.
