I just heard of this case today:

This took place around where I live (part of it did, at least).

1. He was a nasty piece of work

there is an account written by a British journalist who hooked up with him for a few days. Her name was Fowles...Fawkes...? Ack! Damn my memory! Maybe if I click on the link...:)

Knew nothing about this case. And, he was a local boy, too.

I went to see if he was in www.findagrave.com but his grave was not in there. He is buring locally, but I doubt I will find it.

I don't think I have ever heard of this crime. The book should be interesting.

5. The author is Sandy Fawkes

She actually tried to have a one night stand with him and he did not kill her.
Book is called "Killing Time" or "Time to Kill"

Not 100% sure.

I know I have read about this guy, but the specifics are escaping me at this moment. I also remember his face.
