LHO's daughters, June and Rachael took the surname of their stepfather, Kenneth Porter, in 1965. This helped them to remain somewhat anonymous while growing up in Texas, although they still endured the stigma of being the offspring of the assassin of JFK.

According to a 1995 article, June keeps a low profile and works in business. She uses her married name (undisclosed) and tries to protect her own children from the controversy. She manages to keep a sense of humor and mentioned that she enjoyed the "second spitter" episode of Seinfeld, which parodies the Single Bullet theory.

A Texas Monthly article also from 1995, reported that Rachael worked for seven years as a waitress while putting herself through nursing school and went on to find employment in that field. She seemed to be the more conspiracy-oriented of the two girls and enjoyed meeting Oliver Stone during the making of his film JFK.

Marina Oswald, the wife of Lee Harvey, has changed her stance on the assassination several times over the years, often apparently due to influence by whatever current book or theory is popular. She currently believes that her husband was innocent. She still lives in Texas.

As I recall, both June and Rachel were very young when their father killed JFK. (I'm not a conspiracy theorist, in that I believe Oswald did it and acted alone.)

4. LHO was an onduty navy intelligence officer (ONC) loaned

to the secret service or fbi or something like that...even a cursury reading of what oswald did while hanging around new orleans and dallas etc suggests he was hardly a warehouseman in the texas school book depository: he was there as part of the job, and he might not even have known about the jfk motorcade passing by on elm street (the secret service/dallas police changed the route at the last minute)...oswald knew something very strange was going on when the murder happened, he was seen on the ground floor within seconds of the actual shooting, drinking a coffee....he fled the scene, in effort to connect with his handler..he was not the killer of officer trippett (there were numerous witnesses)...it is clear his handler (the fbi agent who gave him his orders, and provided any necessities, there are ph records of the post assasination calls from oswald to this guy) was part of conspiracy: oswald was set up. like the mysteries surrounding the 911 disaster, very little makes sense unless you suspect that the official story is too neat, and is also improbable when not impossible....oswald was only 24 years old in nov 63, and he had already been working for the usa gov since his teens...he probably could not imagine he'd be betrayed, not by the people he served, until far too late....if you accept the official lone gunman magic bullet theory, then you might be part of the betrayal of an officer of the government, which was itself being betrayed......oswald had no champions, so one would think this mystery about his status should be cleared up, if he was on gov. duty
