You poor thing! I lived in Ft. Worth for a year long time ago, and we had a two-week heat wave where the high's were around 115 and the "low" overnight temps were about 98 degrees.

I was going to drive to Lansing tonight, but there are major storms looming between here and there, so I cancelled my hotel for tonight and will drive over early in the a.m. We won training as part of Nancy winning the All Star contest. She's not going, but I and my friend who also worked on her campaign are.

We got some bad news yesterday about the new baby. She has cystic fibrosis. My sister and I are beside ourselves because no-one on either side of our family ever had it, that we know of.

Tracy and Kevin are both carriers of the defective gene that causes it, so there's a possibility that my brother was a carrier.

Both of my brothers are dead, so we can't know for sure, but I'm going to ask my doctor if he can do the test on me the next time I need blood work.

We're devasted, but hopefully with the diagnosis being made so early, she's only two weeks old, maybe the effects of the disease will be less.

88. My sister called me. She was babysitting for Katie today.

She said she had so much fun she want's to go back tomorrow. She can't, she going to a 65th wedding anniversay party for the parents of one her closest and dearest friends. Their from the old neighborhood and my parents were very good friends with them as well.

65 years married is quite an accomplishment and the fact that they're still able physically and mentally to enjoy it is great by itself.
