I have already been through so many mental convolutions with this thing that I don't even want to talk about it anymore. At least not now. But I think one thing this article does is divest one of any ideas that Dean is the idiot some people are making him out to be, just because of what he sees here, or just because he doesn't agree 100 percent with Glenn Greenwald, or whatever.

I guess only time will tell what's going to happen with all this, and what, exactly, Obama will do. In the meantime, all that's for sure is that there's going to be a lot of shit heaped on him, as well as on John Dean and on Keith, by those who believe rejection of the bill as it is now is the only correct and constitutional answer to this issue. They're going to be called every name in the book. Oh well.
