much handwringing over it on DU tonight. Listen up, most USAmericans were watching Michael Phelps and Floridians were watching the next hurricane develop while worrying about their insurance premiums. Perfect timing! Now Obama can say hey, I debated McSame over those religious questions and I don't have to do it again!:bounce:

Tweety's still resting up from his pneumonia. I gather it was primarily other people like David Shuster and Andrea Mitchell who held down the fort.

I only watched a bit of it. Caught the tail-end of Obama, and then Grampy came on and he was so damn annoying I had to shut it off and go back to the Olympics. And what did I see there but an ad for Grampy...

Hey, has anyone but me noticed that in Obama's ads when they talk about the high price of gas, the pump readout they show is a modern digital one, whereas in Grampy's ad, it's the old-fashioned mechanical one with the numbers spinning around on a wheel? What does THAT tell us about the two of them, eh? I'm surprised they didn't say something on Grampy's ad about how hard it is for people to fill up their Packards and Duesenbergs nowadays.
