Home from the Town Hall Forum, featuring Rachel, Randi & Mama Steph!
Edited on Sun Aug-17-08 01:21 AM by SeattleGirl
It was a great three hours, except for the venue. It was all floor level seating, and the two tallest men in the world were sitting in front of me, effectively blocking my view of Ron Reagan and Mama x( . And initially, it was difficult to hear them. They were wearing those little clip mics, and after someone from the back of the room came up and told them they were difficult to hear, they all held their little mics and after that, it was a lot better.

Found out this is the only city in the country that puts together these kinds of events, with all these progressive radio hosts. Woohoo! Though I do wish other cities did, because they are a lot of fun.

They covered all kinds of things like voting, impeachment, the M$M, the weak-kneed Dems, the nasty liars on the right, etc. And Steph started channeling Linda Blair in The Exorcist, to the hilarity of the crowd. At the end, Malloy had her do it again.

After the event, we were able to go to the front of the room to meet them. I met Rachel and Randi; Steph was right in front of me at one point, but I was trying to get to Rachel. I did get a couple of Mama, though. I also got a picture with me and Rachel, and one with me and Randi (which I'm not going to show you, because I picked this event to be completely unphotogenic). I also got autographs from the three R's: Ron, Randi, and Rachel.

Anyway, here's some pics. The first few aren't as good as I wish, because they were taken from my seat.

1. Fishnet stockings!
Hubba, Hubba! A girl after my own heart.

Looks like a fabulous day with a lot of big brains. Glad you had fun, and I completely sympathize about the seating issues.

Here's to the Democrats! Smart and good looking! :toast:

3. And, yes, she was BENDING OVER.
Oh. My. God. Bot may never recover from this.

You do realize, dear SG, that Bot is going to print out THAT picture, laminate it with clear moisture-resistant plastic, and...um...keep it forever?

And you guys joke about ME needing smelling salts and a Bay Air!

.... that over looked Gull Bay. Her black fishnet stockings covered her fine legs
as she thought of her Buddy and how nice it would be if he was there but her
glass of wine made had her sleepy so she was surprised to see him standing
next to her hammock. "Oh Buddy, I have been thinking about you ..... :loveya:

that airs all these folks.

but haven't lately, thats what i get! will have to check it out more often. I love them.

I have sirius since i live in the mountains and the one left channel they have has two people i can't stand in the morning. especially the woman from 10-12 who still says crap about Obama. she wanted clinton and is still upset about it.

bugs me that the right has two channels, we have one and there is at least 2 of the people on it that don't like obama!!

12. They did a similar thing last year, and I have a feeling they will
do another one next summer.

Keep your eyes out; the tickets do sell out pretty quickly.

9. I'm so jealous!
Wish they'd do an event like that here.

Did you remember to tell Randi you "knew" me?

Love, love, love Stephie in the fishnets!

11. I didn't, and I had intended to.
Sorry Sharon; there were just so many people around all the speakers we really only got a couple of seconds with each of them.

I did tell Randi, though, that my mom's name was the same as her mom's: Loretta. She liked that.

14. It was very crazy.
But I do feel bad, especially because I was thinking about it when I walked into the Exhibition Hall where the event was being held.

15. Well, we now know one big thing Rachel and Keith have in common.
They both insist on wearing ugly big thick black frame glasses when not on TV.

I wonder if in both cases, it's because their girlfriends told them these glasses make them look hot.

In that case, both girlfriends need new glasses themselves.

16. Well, I don't know about Keith, but Rachel says she dresses like a
first grader, so maybe that explains the glasses.

Though I have to say, she was wearing a really cool pair of orange tennies on Saturday. :)

17. Well, Keith is constantly implying he has the maturity of a first grader
or not much older, so maybe that explains it.

Orange tennies? That's pretty cool.
