He's lovely and pink-tied in the outfit above, but he's also obviously developing a long, deep vertical crease on his forehead between his eyebrows that is really obvious. It almost looks like a cut in his skin.

Boy, this brings back memories. I took a train to Denver once (very fun), and I remember that big wall that says "THE ICE HOUSE" on it near Union Station. People are standing around outside with MSNBC fans that have pictures of Keith and other stuff on them. I want one with a picture of Keith!

The first Dem convention I followed was 1964. I was 9 years old and was interested in politics and history even at that early age. I remember the tribute they did for President Kennedy. My mother and grandmother started crying.

Nancy decided on Saturday to book a flight after Biden was named VP -- he's the only one who helped her in 2006 when he came here to do a fundraiser for her. Since she knows both guys on the ticket, she knew she had to be there. She flew out last night.

Well, she called me this afternoon. She had just run into a bunch of these loonies and tried talking to them as someone who knew Obama personally, as well as a woman who had been through something similar to Hillary (actually worse, as the party pushed her aside, not the voters). She came at it from both sides of the picture, but they wouldn't listen. She said they're nucking futz -- very militant feminists. It's going to be near impossible to bring them over. They're stubborn and just won't listen to reason.

The ag school at Cornell (which is where the communications program is, bizarrely enough) is a statutory college affiliated with the State University of New York, so it's on a private-school campus, and is operated by that private school, and its employees are employees of that private school, but they're running it for the state, with state funding. SUNY doesn't determine their curriculum, the private school does--and the graduates earn degrees from the private school, yet they pay SUNY tuition.

What a deal! Keith got an Ivy League degree for a state-school price.
