It was in the middle of the road right around a corner. It was a doe, so I told her she killed Bambi's mother.
THE VERY NEXT NIGHT, I hit Bambi. All the way home I just KNEW I was going to hit a deer - why, I don't know. But this thing came out of a deep ravine and threw him/herself at my car, breaking the headlight. The deer didn't do as well. :(

Yes, I remember thinking "why couldn't it have been a mattress instead?"
