Said that someone had just called Texas for McCain but she's really not sure if that's not premature because she knows some of the heavily AA precincts are still to report but she's not sure who has exactly yet. She's jazzed about Ohio regardless. I told her I wished Texas would turn too, but even if it doesn't, and it wasn't expected to, all will be well. She should be proud regardless of all her hard work!

I keep thinking about my family members who aren't here. My Grandmother was 101 years old when she passed away in August. She told me a story once about HER Grandmother when she was a slave. We told her about Obama but I wish she was here to witness this.

Then I popped my champagne. It went all over the damn place. First champagne I ever popped--oh well! There's still plenty to drink that didn't spatter itself all over my glasses!

I'm drinking it from a flute that has special meaning to me from a night long ago, and is inscribed to remind me of that. No other vessel would do.

Listening to Eugene Robinson say what this means to his kids...listening to Rachel...and Tweety...and Keith.

Ohhhhhhh, this is so rich.

but I was hangin' with my Obama peeps from the primary!! Oh hell are we a buncha crybabies! Not a dry eye in the house when PRESIDENT Obama spoke!! And wow, we were all just sitting around minding our own business, when someone shrieked "OMG, THEY CALLED IT FOR OBAMA!!!" at 10. No warning this was coming, nada. Just a bunch of :wow: :wtf: OMGOMGOMGOMG, tons of hugs, yelling screaming...I'm surprised we didn't get a visit from our city's finest, if you know what I mean.
