R.I.P. my darling Dusty Springfield

We had to put our little sweetheart to sleep this afternoon.
It was time, but among the hardest things I've ever had to make the decision to do.

and so are Bella and Harley. :cry:

We know how much you loved your sweet Dusty. But sweetie, you must have known she was suffering such that the quality of her life would never be what it should again. And when you make that decision at such a time, you are doing the right thing. You are doing a great kindness to a dear friend.

Oh, but it's so hard, how you miss them. :cry:

It's a hard decision to make, even if it is the right now. On the upside, the Rainbow Bridge now has a KOEB room where our beloved furkids can romp & play while they wait for us.

She is in a beautiful box with a quilt and grass and sparkles and notes and pictures from all of us. We're having a service for her tomorrow morning. My little one is taking it especially hard.

I'm going over to post Dusty 'Von' Springfield's pic at the Rainbow Bridge. I didn't even know about it. I'm a little out of it, where is it?

Also, I know that annually, at least, someone makes a video featuring pictures and names of all DU pets lost within the past year. Not sure who does it, though.

She sure was. I can't stop crying. I guess that's normal. She was very young. The only other pet I've ever lost was 18 years old. Dusty was only 8. Too soon.
