Sorry I'm too much of a computer spaz to unload my camera to post some new pictures of these darlings (Mr. Bunny and the offspring are in Philly visiting the Grandparents, and their new cat, Boo so it'll have to wait unti they get back to post them).
Here are my new little ones again.
They are home with us. They are real, and THEY ARE SPECTACULAR.

Their names are (just in case you hadn't heard us screaming them from Joisey)
Twyla Helenje le Tigre-F.(our last name) and Mischa Mao-Mau Azucar-F. (don't worry, we haven't all lost our minds, although I was cleaning and getting ready for them to arrive Saturday morning, dancing to Celia Cruz in my studio at 3AM, hence the Azucar part!!!!)
They both have extra little nicknames already like Santogold for Twyla and Violet for Mischa Mao-Mau. Not sure how many will stick yet, but it's fun to try them out and see which ones will.
Twyla and Mischa are the names because they are dressed alike (practically twins, just slight differences) and dance and leap like Twyla and Mischa did in 'Push Comes to Shove' in..... ahem.... 1984, where they too were dressed alike.
Also Twyla is a name we were considering for our youngest daughter, and since she was the one who helped me care for Dusty Springfield and was my little rock throughout, I really wanted her to be a part of the name. We also read the book 'Twilight' together while Dusty was in her twilight and saw the movie together soon before or after we lost her (can't remember the exact date)
Mischa is also my littlest one's friend Sascha's Dad. Sascha is the one who took A. and I to the pet food store (diagonally across the street from the vet who cared for Dusty Von Springfield (there are about 600 coincidences like that so far, I'm keeping a running list which I'll send or post someday soon) The Mao- Mau part in her name is because they were found behind a Chinese restaurant (I kid you not) when they were two weeks old, that is the sound her meow makes too, and she is the one who looks the most of the two like an Egyptian Mau, greyish tiger striped with large ringed eyes and spots as well as stripes.
We had a welcome the kittens home party yesterday with 14 people dropping by to say hello, exactly a month after many of those same people came by to say goodbye to our darling Dustybear. We've been keeping them separate at night from the older, crankier fur babies. Their litter box and sleeping basket is in the powder room for now. I heard my older two kids in their with them last night, giggling and laughing like mental patients whilst the kitties climbed all over them and bumped heads and purred. It did my heart and soul good to hear that I can tell you.
Patsela, I am so glad I talked to you when I was in Fla-la-la about adopting two. A fortuitous conversation that really helped us decide that more was less or less wasn't more, or something like that, lol.
Also my other big babies, Marcy 'Cookie' Feigenblatt and Casey 'Pinhead' F. are having a wonderful time and are adjusting. Everytime they see the kittens, I give them both a catnip party, so they should have their Pavlovian responses down in no time.
And Rev, I finally know what you were talking about, they are trying to walk all over my computer keyboard as I write this, something I'd never experienced before, when my others were kittens we didn't have a computer keyboard for them to walk on, and Dusty V. Springfield was just too dang sophisticated and understated in her elegance to ever do such a thing. She did love a good catnip party however. Also, I was telling Sha-sha earlier, they are attempting to steal my whitefish salad right off my plate!!! Did you mention your babies did that as well?
A Happy and Healthy #9 and beyond for all of you dear KOEB friends. I haven't looked at the news in days (hope to catch Countdown in a couple of hours with all of you), but I know its probably scary as all get out. I just have to say though, I really took that hope and change thing to heart over here and I feel as if we will all get through this upcoming time stronger and intact and still great friends who help and support each other, and remain engaged in the world.
x BP
see all of you later.
The babies will be watching Countdown for the first time with me!!!!!
I'll post new pics as soon as the non- computer spazzes get home. They've got the camera with them anyway.
