4. No, we didn't, but

a tree fell in the backyard that woke us up at 5 a.m. yesterday. We had no idea what it was until later when we got up. It took down some cable wires and some electrical wires, but didn't disrupt our service, thank goodness. Now we have to wait for the cable company and the electric company to come out, but there are others who need them more, so we're not a priority. I am not looking forward to getting rid of the tree. It was dead, which is why it went down so easily, I think. I know it will be more than I can afford to get someone to come and chop it up and take it. I'd just as soon wait until the spring and have hubby do it at his leisure.

I know.

We were pretty lucky. The tree was too far back in the yard to hit the house and it fell parallel to the house, not toward it.

I always joke about how I'd like the tree in our front yard to fall on the house so we could get it renovated paid by insurance, but after worrying about what we heard yesterday morning, I think I've changed my mind. I had so much trouble falling back to sleep because I had no idea what the noise had been. We did know it wasn't the tree in the front, though, because it would have fallen right into our bedroom if it had hit the house.

all of ours is gone, too. It got really warm over the weekend and rained a lot, which washed it away. Even though it was warm Saturday, it was miserable out and I slept most of the day. I had one of my killer headaches and just didn't feel like doing anything.

I checked out my onsceen cable listings and they have a Countdown scheduled for tomorrow too, but who knows what that will be? It's a Lockup marathon New Year's Eve, I think, except I think they're rerunning Favorite People at 10. And a Caught on Camera marathon or something like that New Year's Day and I don't know what on Friday but no Countdown--except that interestingly enough, they have Countdown scheduled for 8 am Friday!
