And they can't seem to tell us where it went, either.

5. Same to you.
I'm much better today than I was a couple of days ago. I woke up Friday in Dallas with a killer headache that I still had Saturday. I didn't leave the house Saturday and felt much better at some point yesterday.

I know those headaches. Did you feel well enough to watch the game, or did you skip it?

:hi: I've been here all along, just making more soup while listening to the Keithster.

He's asking all the questions I would hope he would. What the heck is with these guys? Didn't they get vetted at all? Is this "change"?

Things need to be fixed, and quickly.

And damn, these banks make me so furious. If I find out MY bank went to the Super Bowl and partied...well, technically they did because my bank has been bought out by a P-burgh bank and they MUST have partied...but at least they were financially sound and didn't need a bailout. :grr:

Things are on or a tad above par at the moment.

I love the Don Rumsfeld couldn't get on the bus story. It really just warmed my heart. I used to take the number 42 bus. I wish I still lived there so maybe, just maybe, I could have been lucky enough to be on the bus that day.

46. Well, ya know, Rummy,
when it comes to taking the bus, there are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. (Such as, when the schedule says it will arrive.) There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. (Such as, when it actually WILL arrive.) But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. Such as, for example, that the bus will be jampacked when it finally does arrive, and it won't let us ON!!!!!!!! :grr:

54. No, no, NO, Keith...the F. Scott Fitzgerald reference was ENTIRELY inappropriate!
Your English teacher failed you on this one.

When Fitzgerald said "There are no second acts in American lives," he wasn't saying that Americans get just one shot in life, and never have a second CHANCE. He has been misquoted as meaning this over and over again by ignorant journalists and sportswriters such as your blonde female colleague...but all of you are mistaken.

Fitzgerald was comparing American lives to three-act plays with no middle act...just a beginning and an end, running pell-mell from one to the other, with no development in between.

THAT, dear sir, is what he meant. And I'm a little disillusioned with you tonight, that you didn't know that. Because I was griping about it to myself last night, and I thought maybe you were going to correct her tonight.

Disappointing!!
