I miss KO but there is hope in the future. Now we have lousy
Comcast but they took away MSNBC. Got a screen notice that said they were removing the channeland a couple of others to prepare for digital. That was last November or so. I dropped to basic and really have no TV because it is junk.

Verizon is in discussion with the "town" powers that be to run FIOS cable and give us an option. Maybe their prices will be better ot at least better options. I don't require tons of channels, don't need sports, shopping, Spanish, 1 PBS will do. Anyone here use Verizon FIOS and do they have a basic offering?

I can't spend a hundred dollars a month on TV and cable and cannot get up on the roof for an antenna.
I'd love to be able to tell Comcast to jump off a cliff.
All I need is TV and Internet. I want to keep my phone land line so I don't want one of those packages with a hundred channels.

Hope they get the OK and I think they will, No-one here says a good word about Comcast. It is not the service, it is the horrible channel offerings.

Anyone here have any into. I'm in Massachusetts, if that is relevant.
Thanks

2. No iPod, I'm technically challenged and do not have the $$$
right now. Too many things have happened and I am in the ranks of the unemployed. Laid off twice. Once in Sept, called back(great), then laid off in December along with several others.

The job search is going no-where and Unemployment Insurance runs out in April. I'm watching every penny.

I hope the extension will apply to me because I don't see much out there.

Thanks for your idea.

3. OK, just asked
it is possible to have iTunes without an iPod. So you can download the program http://www.apple.com/itunes/overview/

Then go to to the Store and search for Countdown. It is a podcast, that means it is for free. Only drawback - you can only watch it the next day.

Does that help?

I live in Germany and that is the only way for me to see KO.

4. I know about that option and have watched KO that way but I miss
the spontaneity of his broadcast, live seams to much more "on top" of things. Thank you for reminding me however.

You must be so proud to live in Germany, I have visited several times when my husband was alive. We enjoyed the Rhine ams Mosel best of all, and we met the most wonderful people. My husband would start up conversations with anyone who looked nice. Had the best wine ever!

I hope to be able to go back with my daughter and grandchildren someday.
