I'm going back home.

I want to live in my hometown. It's less than 10 miles from my Dad, and it's a moderate sized city (10,000), in easy driving distance of Madison, Milwaukee, Janesville, and even Chicago.

As to what I'll do, the answer is "Anything!" I am considering looking into something in the medical field, since it's so busy. Someone told me they always need transcriptionists, and there's a technical college in town. Or I'll get a CNA certificate and work in a hospital or nursing home. I like old people, and the smell doesn't bother me - too much. :)

A suggestion from me, have you ever thought of working for a hospice or even something like the place your dad is in? I could see it being very hard to do emotion wise but I also could see you being very good at being that person of faith that can help a person and their family through a very hard time. Course it would mean staying a minister. Not sure where you are on on that.

It's just that those kind of jobs are often hard to find. But you've reminded me that I need to call Nancy, the hospice chaplain back home, who was also a good friend of my mom's. She's probably nearing retirement. But I don't know if she was paid, or if she volunteered. If it's a paid job, then I can remain a pastor, listed as "Appointed Beyond the Local Church." That's what they do with chaplains, teachers, and military pastors. :patriot:

:hi: I thought it was funny. Course the other Olbermann is still there but that one has the countdown/MSNBC background like the other MSNBC peoples so it might be his first and failed attempt.

Glad the foot is healed too and will be happier when it feels like it is 100%. At least now I can work on getting it back in shape, along with the ankle and knee. I cannot believe how fast everything goes when you aren't allowed to use one foot.
Might make it back a bit more once Terry gets back to work. These days by the time Keith comes on I just want to chill in front of the TV and not have to talk to anyone. I am not used to having to entertain another adult every single minute of every single day.
