I just had a bit of a scare. Earlier tonight I tried to trim Bella's claws, and I cut one to the quick and it bled quite a bit. I thought it had stopped, but then I saw her running around leaving little bloody paw prints everywhere and panicked. Grabbed her and put her in her carrier and went downstairs to look for someone to help. My landlord (also cat owner) came up and looked at her and said it looks like it stopped bleeding again and she'll be fine. He's done it too. He also has a spray to put on it if I need it. Whew.

One of my cats knocked a glass bottle off the fridge one day, and my dog stepped on a piece of glass.

I got it to stop bleeding, and went to work.

When I got home, there were bloody paw prints all over the kitchen floor.

Grabbed puppy doodle., and took her to the vet (thank goodness it was only a mile away).

The vet said that an animal's paws are part of it's circulatory system, and so when they cut themselves, it can sometimes start bleeding again when they start walking around again.

Glad your kitty is okay.

but I guess it can stop and then start again when enough pressure is put on it.

I was worried because it had stopped and she'd been walking around quite a bit, and then it started again after she'd been cleaning it out herself. But then again, the saliva probably has a bit of blood clotter in it, doesn't it? Maybe it was just the roughness of her tongue that made the blood flow again for a bit.

She's washing it again now. Seems to be under control.

For some reason my browsers go through this thing periodically where they don't want to play any Flash stuff because I don't have the latest upgrade. I don't have the latest upgrade because I would have to upgrade my OS to accommodate it, which I haven't done yet. Then for some reason it switches back and then I can play video again. Don't ask me why.

Anyway, I watched it on the reair and it was hilarious, as Colbert always is. God, I love that guy.
