Second, on Wednesday, one of our offices in Corpus was struck by lighnting & my former boss' office "lit up like a Christmas tree." They still don't have phone lines, but do have power. :shrug:

Lastly, in addition to the rain & tornado warnings of yesterday afternoon, there was more wind & rain last night. Overnight, I lost power in part of my house, & in the morning, noticed I had a downed power line, which is now fixed. There have also been car accidents w/fatalities on I-35 due to blinding rain.

All's well now, & it's all just part & parcel of living in hurricane territory, but Emily was not "blown out of proportion" by a long shot.
