Hi folks! Man, I love my new Blackberry!
I'm in Oregon for my brother's wedding Saturday. I am on DU via my BB. I was also surfing the web in the car on the way down here. (No, I was not driving!). I love this thing!

1. So you haven't missed any, uh, news lately?
Bit of a ruckus way north of where you are. Some chick decided to pack up the tents. Surely you heard?

5. We actually heard the news on the car radio on the way to Oregon.
Our jaws dropped simultaneously. I was able to access the news on the Blackberry and read the story to MrSG as we were driving down I-5.

And btw, the wedding was wonderful!

2. And I'm loving my new iPhone
I feel like I'm never out of touch. Just can't figure out how to get pics to facebook. I think I may have to wait for the new fb for iPhone app. And I'm getting pretty fast typing with the side of my pinky.

6. It's so cool to be able to get online anywhere, isn't it?
I hear the iPhones are pretty awesome, though I'm very happy with my Blackberry Curve.

I took tons of pics and some video with it at the wedding. I'm email them all to myself, so I can upload them to Photobucket.

4. That's great, SG!
You can take pictures with it too, so I hope you got plenty of your brother and your new SIL.

I may get a BB but I having too much fun with the new I-Pod I got recently. I have almost 100 songs so far.

7. Hi RC!
I did take lots of pictures and a little bit of video at the wedding.

I also have an iPod, which I also love, because then I can take my CD music with me wherever I go.

8. That's the really nice thing about the iPhone
I loaded all my music into it and now only need one device with me when I walk (which is rare these days, but I did do that on Saturday). The only problem with listening to music on it a lot or using the iHeart Radio app is that it wears the battery down pretty quickly, so I probably won't do that too often. I thought I could listen to Randi (for now, until Nancy comes back and will be on a local station) on it instead of streaming, but the battery wore down pretty fast doing that on Thursday.

9. Same thing with the Blackberry; surfing the web or anything like
that really drains the battery.

Since the iPhone and Blackberry are made to do things like that, you'd think they could develop a battery that lasted longer between charges.

10. Exactly
I'm glad I decided to go with the 3GS instead of the older model. The battery life on the new one is supposedly better than the old one, so that one must be really awful.

11. I'm now having a problem with my BB. I can't access the web!
Grrrrr! Hope it's nothing serious (or series!11!).

I'm downloading some more apps. Trying to stick to free ones, although I did buy a few $1.99 ones the other day. I can now set recordings on my U-verse from my phone through an AT&T app, check baseball scores, check college football scores, and much more. I love this thing!

And now I'm downloading a cocktail app with over 2000 cocktail recipes!
