1. I hate to break your heart, Muffy, but...

...the Web site is NOTORIOUS for prefacing EVERY promo for Countdown with the phrase "Keith shows you..."

They have done it when he is on vacation and they KNEW he was going to be gone. They do it at all times, in all ways, under all circumstances. They NEVER promote it any other way.

Maybe he will turn out to be back, but one thing is for sure...you can't go by the Web site, because "Keith shows you" is the promotional phrase they use without fail. Same with the MSNBC commercials...it's always "Keith shows you, Keith shows you, Keith shows you." Even when it's not Keith at all.

Even Chris Matthews always says at the end of Hardball, "Now it's time for the Countdown with Keith"...even when he knows perfectly well that Keith is on vacation.

So I'm not halle-lu-jah-ing until I actually see him standing there at 8 pm tonight. Personally, I'm still worried...especially because I have yet to get a newsletter. USUALLY you can count on the newsletter to tell you he won't be in...but yesterday's was a cruel exception.
