is if worn by the owner.

Of course, then he would be divested of it in all due haste.

Is this the media making more of the falling debris than the scientists and forcing NASA's hand to ground the fleet? If the media hadn't been looking for something to go wrong and showed that "foam footage" over and over, would NASA have done something about this or even mentioned it?

71. Sorry, I'm finding it hard to get excited about Ford.
Saw him quoted just the other day explaining how he had left his wife and taken up with you-know-who because he woke up one day and felt the need to change his life. You know, he was saying, I'm an actor, and actors like to portray different roles, don't like to be the same thing all the time. So he woke up one day and just decided he had to change his life.

Wonder if Melissa Mathison now has a sign taped over HER mirror that says "Actors act." *sigh*

Anyway, can you believe G. Gordon Liddy of all people is now on Tucker's show? Oh well, I guess they're now serving Apple Brown Ratty down at the MSNBC commissary! Look out Keith--watch what you eat--they could set out d-Con for it in the morning and serve it to you at night! :scared:

73. A quick hello
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 08:32 PM by CC
Been working around here or in the midst of the heat wave and staying in the pool all day. The wave finally broke last night with a violent light show. I realized I have less than a month to finish everything I wanted to get done this summer before going back to work.

Good to see Keith is back though his being gone did allow me to fall a sleep way early for two nights and I think AS is ok even though not as good as KO.

On the Shuttle (putting on my :tinfoilhat: ) Up until Friday the Shuttle wasn't going anywhere until they figured out the problem gage. Then suddenly the gage was no big deal and the Shuttle was going up no matter what, weather permitting. So did someone from the WH call and say get in the air or else? Shuttle news has pushed a side other stories and who knows what is out there that is waiting to bubble to the top. With this admin I wouldn't put anything beyond them.

Last night Tucker, who I don't watch but was to lazy to find where the ferrets hid the remote, reported on the missing Philly woman and he said it was finally given attention because of a blog. I remember seeing write CNN and the media here yesterday and at least MSNBC must of paid attention. Not sure about any others and I get Philly channels too (along with Baltimore) so knew about it before. I think it is great people posted here to write the media complaining and MSNBC reported on it, including the color thing.

76. They know how to but
prefer not too. They stayed inside in the ac. LOL I keep their room coolest so shut my self out of it for hours. They were asking people to cut down on power usage or get a rolling black out. Decided to turn everything off here I could except the ac and hang in the pool reading.

Sorry to hear about the guy from church. Hugs and sending prayers for his family. (you too.) Hope his wife has a good network of friends to help her through with her family so far away.

81. Thanks, dear friend.

I swear, you are the best ferret mom ever! You turn on the a/c for them, then go in the pool for yourself. :)

82. Hi again and still up here and

just in case anyone thinks the other animals are neglected, the cats hung out with the ferrets in their new cat tree. (So the ferrets can't bite their toes so easily.) The dogs also stayed in the house with the ac and only had to go out long enough to go potty. And they are faster in the heat then in winter snow & ice. I stayed in the pool so I would leave the lights off and not do things like laundry or dishes. I dreaded the thought of a rolling blackout. The ferrets who can't handle heat at all would of had to have ice packs. Edited to add, the dogs probably would of needed ice packs too. Thankfully the cats seem to be smart enough to find a way to handle heat. (Sinks, tubs, shower stall. lol)

78. 'Tis a very scary idea that...
1. the bliv would actually FORCE the space shuttle to take off even if it wasn't completely safe, just to draw attention away from his political problems

2. it would take a blog to shame the Philly cops into FINALLY looking for a missing pregnant woman who happened not to be blond and missing in a glamorous place.

Now what I find funny instead of scary...that the ferrets hide the remote on CC and as a result she ends up watching Tucker Carlson against her will!

79. The ferrets hide
everything they can get their little teeth on and love the remote. I do try to hide it from them so I can find it.

On the WH, well it fits their modus operandi and it is scary & sad to me that they have me thinking that way at all.

It is sad also about Figueroa, but kudos to the bloggers for forcing it out into the mass media.
